Positioner

"Gigant" Positioner is designed as a pneumatic lockable ball joint. This gives the operator the possibility to quickly and without effort place and lock the work piece in the best possible position.
Patented design of the ball joint permits:

• Turning 360°.
• Tilt up to 90°.
• Rotation while working.
• Locking in optional position.
• Preselection of different working positions.
Positioner can be loaded with weights up to 80 kg, torque up to 300 Nm with maintained stability.
Recommended work load 25-30 kg.
Brake torque in neutral position is adjustable from zero and up. A light brake effect is selected to facilitate exact positioning of the object. Positioners locking and releasing is performed pneumatically and is controlled with a foot pedal. Locking is secure even in the event of pressure failure.
Max working pressure 0.8 MPa (8 bar).
The fixture, with ball joint in the released position, can rotate freely around its horizontal axis in all designs. Positioner is delivered including automatic control box, foot pedal and base plate. Can be mounted on lift column, on a workbench, on the wall or from the ceiling using a suspension fixture.
• In the basic design the cover has an opening that permits tilting up to 45 degrees in all directions.
• In the rotations design the cover and flange ring have an opening in one area where the tilt can reach 90 degrees.
Both models are available in different slot designs (type 1-4 as above) where the cover has one or more open slots that control and limit the fixtures movement.
The fixture, with ball joint in the released position, can rotate freely around its horizontal axis in all designs.Accessories
Protective cover for the positioner. Mounted around Kulans axle reaches to the floor if Kulan is fitted on the standard post. Protects against dirt, grinding dust and weld spatter.
