Gigant supplies offshore
The multi-million project is carried out by SLP Engineering for BP. The platform, which goes into production in 2010, will have 200 personnel stationed – each and everyone with their own locker supplied by Gigant. Gigant will also be supplying motorised workbenches, hydraulic lift platforms, mobile shelving, fume extraction equipment and machine tools, all selected to perform well in a very demanding environment.
The total value of the Gigant contract is in the region of £250,000.
Gigant UK subsidiary is based in Whiteley near Southampton. Gigant specialises in efficient, ergonomic workplaces, with European sales of more than £800 million. Gigant Arbetsplats AB is a part of the B&B Group, an ‘A’ listed company on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. As you may suspect, ”Gigant” is Swedish for ”giant” – a highly appropriate name.
